  • DA on damaged paint?

I was going to do a quick detail on a friends car. Some area have some flaking clearcoat, would I still be able to a DA to apply some wax?
Another question: On my sisters car she has several rock chips on the front of her hood. A few of them have a small bubble when the paint had come up a bit from around the chip, a little smaller than the size of a pea. Would I be able to use some 80/83 over those areas? Her car had lost all its shine with oxidation. I don't what some nasty happen and rippe a huge flake of paint off.
    Thanks for all the help,
    MadMan

Best to avoid areas with flaking or bubbling paint.
