  • Question about #7 vs #80

I just purchased a PC 7424 HD and I have a few questions about polish. Normally I apply #7 by hand with fairly good results but I decided to step up to a PC.

    1. Should I use #7 or #80 with the PC?
    2. Is there a different setting for each?
    3. Does #7 break down quicker than #80?
    4. Is #80 more aggresive than #7?

Sorry for all of the questions, Thanks.

Re: Question about #7 vs #80

Either works with a PC but #7 is a pure polish (a.k.a. glaze) and #80 is a diminishing abrasive cleaner/polish. Quite different products.

      1. If you're trying to remove defects then use the M80, if you just want to add gloss, the use the #7

      2. For removing defects use the 5.0 setting, for applying a pure polish the 4.0 setting works pretty good.

      3. There's nothing in the #7 to break down.

      4. Yes because it's a cleaner/polish and contains a diminishing abrasive, the #7 is a pure polish and non-abrasive.
