  • Polishing Curved Surfaces and Other Not So Flat Areas

The majority of techniques and examples I've read have been for relatively flat and large surfaces like a vehicle hood. Can you describe tips/techniques on polishing not so flat surfaces in addition to smaller surfaces with the G-100?

As an example, my vehicles have painted door guards that I want to polish and perhaps remove some swirls. However, I can't really apply direct pressure evenly since the surface area is smaller than the pad and the surface is curved. I also have the same dilemma for curved edges. Can I use the edge of the pad for these types of surfaces and also for tight spots?

curved areas are a pain, but with the da i use a 8006 pad and 83 and just work the area slow and you can use the da for small areas and tight areas. but mostly i just use a rotary.for really tight areas like under mirrors and such i just take the mirrors off the same with rear spoilers.
