  • How do you apply paste waxes with a G100?

I'll be getting a G100 for xmas I think so I'm planning my usage.

If you want to apply #16, how do you get it on the pad? Do you load up a hand applicator and smear it all over a section and the polish?

Do you somehow stick the pad into the wax in the can?

It's only weird because it's not normal

Some paste waxes you can scoop out the wax and spread onto the face of the foam pad using a knife, spatula, handle of the spanner wrench that come with the G100/PC, etc.

M16 is supposed to be liquefied in the can using your hand and spinning your applicator pad against it with a quick motion, this will liquefy the wax and allow it to penetrate into your applicator for easy application.

It's pretty hard to hold the polisher with the pad against the wax in the can and blip the on/off switch to do this but it can kind of be done, at least when the can of wax is full to the top, as you use up the can of wax it will become impossible to do this.

Try applying a thin amount to the face of the pad using a spatula?

Most people apply M16 by hand, whatever you do, it must be applied using whisper thin coats or you'll break your arm trying to remove it.

Well I just started to apply #16 by DA just this last week.
      1. I got a brand new Tan pad that will only be used for #16.
      2. Before putting the pad on the DA I applied the #16, by rubbing the pad in the tin of the #16 a section of the pad at a time untill I had a thin layer.
      3. Put in on the DA
      4. Waxed and removed as usual.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.
