Can Meguairs in US ship the G-100 to Asia ?

I was looking for a DA ploisher for long time, but I cant fine a good one in my country. Meguairs was recomanded using G-100 for beginner. We do have a Meguairs dealer here but they dont sell G-100 so, I was wonder if Meguairs could ship the DA to asia if i wanted to get one ? Where to order and what is the price like including the backing plate and the 3 types of foam. My country is suppling 230V, I will get a step down converter. will it safe to use ?

Unfortunately Meguiar's US direct sales does not ship internationally. There are several issues that prevent this. Top of the list is the exorbitant price.

You must work through your local distributors. They are the only ones that can get you Meguiar's products in your area and even they have to order by the container load.

I know this is frustrating because these are awesome machines and you see people discussing them on this forum all the time. Unfortunately there are just limitations of business.

How about we get someone to take an empty suit case to Meguiars in the US and then pick up a load of G-100's and then take a flight to Australia then back to Asia doing the stork thing and dropping them off to needy people...

Why don't Meguairs make the G-100 with 230V for asia and europe market, that will open a wider market and also more meguairs customer could really enjoy the ultimate results by using with the PC. I believe there are so many people is looking forward for Meguairs to produce the 230V G-100 PC. Thats the inperfection of Meguairs pruducts... I hope Meguairs top management would consider about this seriously if they really concern about their valuable customer.

Meguiar's does not manufacture the G100. They get Porter Cable to make it for them, so I don't think that a 230V G100 will be coming anytime soon.

I would think it'll cost too much for a beginner to consider buying one here. Maybe you can search for it in the net. There are some sites that shipped internationally. But it'll cost you a lot. Maybe G100+shipping+tax = $$$$. Hehehe. Not many could buy it. Maybe some. I was also afraid for it's parts and availability factor.

I would buy, if I have the money. Cool tool to own and use. I do look forward to own one someday too. I did found a site tht shipped internationally, I think, I'll go search for it and see if I can find it. I was a bit confused on their shipment details tht's why I didn't pay much attention to it at 1st. I'll let you know Vincent... Thks.

Ya I agree with you, but since Meguairs is 1 of the big customer of Portal Cable, they can request PC to make the rotary to their required specifications if Meguairs wants to. Then can distribute it world wide, lets everyone could share the same story in the forum. Dont you think so ? Agree with me ?

That's the problem many car enthusiast are facing now outside US, If we were to buy thro internet from US, product itself is not expensive but with the shipment fee +++ end up we have to pay like a bomb ..more then 1k easily. If They have it made for asia market, we will save the shipment fee and will be lot more cheaper. I think I will get a BOSCH PEX270AE with variable speed control which CGC car grooming is using now..it can attach Meguairs pad on it..that's only cost RM350++

Even being fairly ignorant of the costs associated with doing this I can almost assure you that this would not be a worth while investment for Meguiar's or it's distributors. I say Meguiar's, but really this is all contingent on our international distributors and that's why I recommend you urge them to carry this machine. They are customers of Meguiar's also. If they wanted something bad enough they could come to us and we would explore the options. Without speaking for them though, I can tell you that the volume required and costs involved probably make this very unlikely.

I appreciate you thinking of us so highly, but honestly we are nowhere near "big customer" status to Porter Cable.

It really comes down to the fact that this would be very cost prohibitive. Whether on Meguiar's end or on our customers end it would be too expensive.
I am by no means an expert on international distribution so I can't speak for them, but I am confident these are some of the primary reasons our distributors do not carry the G100.

It should not cost more than $1k. I had mine shipped from US to Singapore, just a Porter Cable 7424 which is equivalent to the G100 for about S$250-270there abouts.

Vincent, check the availability of the Flex X1107VE in Malaysia. It has a 8.8 mm pad throw, so this IS a really aggressive DA! Basically the same as the PC/G-100, only stronger.
