I've searched, I've read, and I've seen the movie (G100 DVD) and still have questions.
My new car is 3 months old. When I got it I used NXT wax that same day (only later did I find out the dealer had already waxed it.) It has been washed once a week and waxed with NXT twice. It is kept outdoors. I've used Quick Detailer on it a couple of times after washing. To my "untrained" eye I don't see any swirls/scratches.
Now I am planning the major cleaning before winter. Since the paint is in good shape, I was thinking of the 5 step process (using DC1 and DC2 for the clean and polish phase.) Then I thought, why not get a G100 now and cut to the chase.
So what should I use with the G100 (instead of DC1 and DC2)? I am guessing the answer is #80, but do I really need that? Shouldn't I use something easier on the paint and save the 80 for when the car really needs it (like I'm sure it will in the springtime?)
So what do you recommend? Keep in mind, the car is new and I've never used a machine of any type on a car's finish before. So I'd like to error on the side of doing too little ... I think.
P.S. Does anyone who's seen the DVD hear Mike's voice in their head when they are working on their car ... just kidding ...
