  • How many pads to clean and use

I've seen a couple of post here that talk about washing the d/a pads in the washing machine. I would rather do it by hand. In any case I can't recall where but I saw someone mention that they cleaned there pad a couple times while buffing and waxing a car. Can someone explain to me how they clean their pads during buffing and waxing?

Also, do you use more than one pad for a product on a single detailing job?

During polishing, I put a terry cloth on the pad (while holding it) and turn on the PC. I move it around a bit and it takes off any excess.

As for the pads, one pad per product. I don't mix products on a single pad.

The only time I've used 1 product with 2 pads on one car was with #83. It was being tempermental and having an especially gummy day. So when the first pad got too saturated I just broke out a new one.
