Removing Paint

After reading thru some threads here I have a few questions.

Getting my #80 and #83 today. I want to start a bit of experiminting but want to ask this before I start.

Using either 80 or 83 and a W-8006 Should I see some of the car color on the pad? The car/Truck is a 2006 with clearcoat I assume. The reason I ask is I see some pictures of pads here on the forum..And the car paint color is on the pad.

If so, then I assume if I'm using my PC and not getting color is because I'm not using enough pressure of moving too fast.

Cant wait till my DVD gets here

No, you shouldn't get any paint color on your pads if you have a clearcoat. The pictures you see are when they are working on single stage paint. I recommend using a marker to mark a spot on the back of the pad which will help you gauge pressure. If you see the spot stop moving, you are putting too much pressure.

I ordered Mikes DVD and am waiting to get it. I thought a few months back when I was looking at this stuff for the first time I found/Saw a online video with technique using the PC. Fo rthe life of me I cant find it now. Be kind of good to see again before I get the DVD so I dont hose something up
