  • Just Recieved G100-Ready to Rumble!!

I just got my G100 in the mail and I am getting ready to start my first time on my new 06 G35 Coupe. Frankly, I'm a little bit afraid to use this thing on it. I have been using NXT by hand, but would like to do a #83, #80, #7, NXT X2 to it. The car is brand new, paint in good condition except for a few light scratches on the hood. Do you think I should skip the #83 and start with #80? I also have #9 in my arsenal. SHould I just start with the #9?

Though I have not used the G100 before, I would recommend going with Meguiar's philosophy of "start with the least aggresive product", that is to use the #80 first and see if it gives the result you want.

    Enjoy your G100...

My forwarder screwed up my shipment of the DA. I should be having fun with it tomorrow. Now it has to be next week.

Given that the car is an 06 I wouldn't think you would need to start with #83. Even with the DISO that it probably has. I would start with #80 and see how that does. If you see results, even if not as much as you want, I would continue with the #80. Maybe 2 coats will do it. Just remember to follow the advice that Mike has posted numerous times about removing swirls with the G100 and you'll be golden! Also, don't forget to clay if the car needs it. Once you get it clayed and then polished and sealed, comtaminents will have a lot harder time bonding to the paint. If you have some bonded and then polish and seal the paint without removing them, you basically just sealed them in made it more trouble to get out in the future. The first time I touch a car, 95% of the time I clay it. The only exceptions are cars that are rarely driven (under a cover living in the garage) or that have been cared for by someone who knew what they were doing beforehand.
