  • Porter-Cable 7424 or G-100A?

I have decided to purchase a polisher. I have found PC 7424 offered for sale as low as $110, but just the basic machine. Meguiars lists its G-100 A for $225 and it comes with backing plate and pad. Looking for thoughts on why I should spend $75 more for Meguiars G-100?

In addition to a a polisher, what pads, backing plates or other accessories should I have?

Have you checked ADS.. They have it cheaper and it comes with the backing plate and pad. Its also made by Meguiars so it has the lifetime warranty.

    This thread might help

I have the PC 7424 and it's awsome. From everything I've read, it's supposed to be the same as the G-100. I really didn't have the money to buy the G-100 since it's quite a bite more then the PC but if you have the extra cash, the lifetime warrenty would be nice. I own a LOT of PC power tools and they are definetly high quality tools that will last a long time. I'm sure you'll be happy with which ever one you decide to get. The results I have gotten have been great. I was a wax on wax off person all my life untill now. Good luck.
