  • SOFTBUFF™ Cutting Pad

When should one use a SOFTBUFF™ Cutting Pad? Is there any difference between the 6.5 or 8 other than size? Which size is best to use with the DA?

The W7006 foam cutting pad is for Rotary use only. If you use the Foam Cutting pad with the D/A you could potetinally harm the finish.

What kind of pad should be used with the PC? Like to remove swirl's and scratches.

You should use the 8006 to polish paint with the PC, and the 9006 to apply waxes and sealants.

I use the W7006 with my DA but I only use it with the Micro Fiber bonnets. I like the firmness with the MF bonnet.

Like others have said, NEVER use a cutting pad on a PC.

I learned the hard way; used an Autoglym cutting pad + Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound (the cheapo $2 ones) on my paint to buff off a paint edge. You can only imagine what my paint looked like afterwards
