    Thanks, Kevin

There are no 4" meguiar pads around here, I am useing
the Cyclo pads that came with.

Try some ColorX with the softest pad you have for the Cyclo, without going to the garage and digging out the pads I forget what color that would be.

The softest would be the white pads..

I have had similar problems with the micro-marring regardless of the product or pad. The marring gets smaller as I progress from #83 to #80 to #82 (#82 with 9006 finishing pad) but is always present.

My only guess, after cleaning them as good as new, claying the surface, prepping the surface with Quick Detailer twice before buffing, is that maybe I'm not working the product long enough. Do #80 and #82 need to be worked longer to get a flawless finish? I was working with #82 today and a finishing pad on red paint, getting the marring, and it seemed like it could go forever without drying out! I probably made 6-8 overlapping passes and it still wasn't drying out. If I did that with #83, it would surely be dry.

This picture is EXACTLY what I'm seeing (same color paint even), when I buff, even with a new finishing pad with #82 on a clean surface.

The only variable I can think of to consistantly get this result is my speed. I just wish I had more time to experiment!

Let me clarify my last post before anyone responds...

The picture I copied to my post is about what it looks like after #83. After #80, it has a similar look, but the marring is finer and a little less cloudy. After #82 and a finishing pad, once again, it's a finer marring and almost no cloudiness. Still, not what it should be.

I would almost expect a little of the marring and cloudiness on soft panit, like on my S-10, but not with the other two products.
