Hi guy. I finally got a chance to use my new PC7424. I detailed my wife’s Jeep Cherokee yesterday. The paint was in a little worst then I first thought. The paint looks a lot better then it did but not as good as I hoped. Here are the steps that I took:
1. Washed twice with NXT Generation Car Wash
2. Used Meguiar's #80 Speed Glaze. (Two coats on the worst parts) W8006 pad
3. (2) coats of Meguiar's #20 Polymer Sealant W9006 pad.
I didn't Clay the paint. The finish feels real smooth except for a few areas. I'm sure the Clay would have helped here. Since I never user a DA Polisher before, I was reluctant to use any thing more abrasive then the #80. Would #83 help get out some of the scratches and swirl marks that were left behind? I like how the Polymer Sealant looks. Both products were real easy to work in and easy to remove. I would really appreciate any help that you guys can give me. Again, her Jeep looks real good but not great. The reflection is nice but it doesn’t have a nice clear or mirror like look to it. Thanks.
