  • Just got my g100 in mail...uhhhh

Got my order from ADS today and came from UPS(really shouldn't get anything shipped with them again..second time something came waterdamaged) lookin like this...

The towels were wet and stained, the g100 is wet as you can tell. I dont think its a good idea to plug this in. My dad answered and UPS was like oh box might of got a little wet but nothing big. I was in garage, if i seen this i would of threw a fit.

That looks like the fault of the shipping carrier, not ADS.

I really cant see Rick letting anything out the door with damage like that! That has to be the fault of the carrier. You should contact the carrier and hopefully they can replace it for you under the insurance. My last $267.00 order from Meguiars came beat up and the box with the 4 1gallon jugs got tossed all around and the body solvent leaked through the box. I lost some product, but not enough to go to UPS and complain about it, but in your situation I would give it a shot, probably take a long time with the hoops you will have to jump through with the carrier.

I just sent ADS an email. Waiting for them to reply before i call UPS. Probably best thing to do is send it all back cause all the towels and applicator pads are wet and stained also. The ups guy told him oh it went all the way across the country so thats probably why it got wet. Well umm if they send a new order to me, does this mean it will arrive the same way.

UPS will probably try to get out of it because the package was accepted and signed for without any complaints. Its gonna be up to ADS to replace the product and deal with ups on their end because i assume they would insure their shipments.

I never signed for my $600 worth from ADS. Once I knew it was coming on a Monday, I MADE sure I was home to accept the 3 huge packages. I've had a problem like this before, and I wasn't going to let it happen this time.

If you had to sign for it, like SOLDSHORT said, you might be in trouble, but if it was insured, its up to UPS to replace it for you. If that's the case, I'm sure it will take 3+ weeks to get your new product(s).

              Sorry to hear your loss..

First... sorry to hear about your little problem.

Rick is a great guy I am sure he will work with you to solve the problem, everything I have received has been packaged very well.

Lesson learned never sign for something that has any damage if there is a question work it out prior to the delivery man leaving. I have personally learned this the hard way costing the company I work for some $$$$, I now inspect everything I sign for.

As a merchant who uses UPS, i'm sure Rick has a representative who handles his account.
Call Rick and explain to him what happened. He should be able to get his rep to handle things for you and make sure everything is taken care of.
Explain to him that the box looked ok from the outside and the driver who dropped the box off told you it should be fine, so thats why you signed for it, but obviously, from the pics...something leaked in and saturated your items.
If he cant get anywhere with UPS, than you can atleast utilize your lifetime warranty for the G100

Thanks for the info guys. . I'm just wondering though, i didn't sign for it, my dad did. Doesn't ups have to have the person thats on the package sign for it? My dad thought it was just another package for my brother and his empty dvd cases. The UPS guy opened it up and said looks like nothing electronic in there so shouldn't be nothing to worry about. The g100 was at the bottem under all the white stuffin balls. I talked to Rick through emails and he said he'll file a claim and a UPS guy should be here to look at it within a week and to put everything back in the box. Did that and i'm hoping everything works out.

                      Hi Scarface,
Just wanted to update you and let you know a UPS claim has been filed for your package. Because you stated UPS left it out in the rain we will have to go through the proper procedure with UPS to have the insurance cover the damage. We will get a replacement order out to you ASAP. Most likely much quicker than the time it takes to process the claim. No worries...a new G100 and other supplies will be on the way soon.

It wouldn't hurt to have those pictures handy when the UPS man arrives.

I had an issue with a bottle of #00 leaking on me one time, after I opened the package, but Meguiars sent me a replacement.

I can just imagine how those boxes get thrown around when traveling from coast to coast...Never seen one soaking wet though.

Yeah they had to of left it out in the rain somewhere along the route from AZ to NJ. My dad just told me the UPS guy said oh it probably was on the train and got rained on. Why would be it out in the rain on a train?
Thanks again Rick for helping me out with this. Its much appreciated.

                              Scarface,
Sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation, but I can personally vouch for Rick at ADS, he has gone the extra mile for me before to make sure things were right. I think you won't have any worries there as he runs a responsible business.
