It doesn't change the speed (things still move at the same OPM) but it does change how the machine behaves; it'll be more aggressive. If you normally apply #16 at 4-4.5 with a larger pad, you might try 3-4 with the 4" one. But it won't be a big deal; I use the Cyclo to apply #16 all the time and that's about the same as a PC w/4" @ 4. Not like much can go wrong as long as your pads are clean and soft.Practical Perfectionist -
