  • Kinda confused on what to do after taking wax off with bonnet.

Hey, just sittin here waiting for the DA velcro backing plate kit to show up. Will be here Wed!!
Plan on starting with #80 and see what swirls come out then go to LSP.
Confused about what to do after removing wax with the PC and bonnet. Am I "done" or do I use a clean W9006 pad for a final buff? Sorry to be long winded. I know I will have to relearn the way I do cars. And be Patient!! Thanks guy's, this has been a learning experience.

No...no dry foam on the car! If, after you have buffed your wax off with the bonnet, you still have some residue or smearing, you can take the bonnet off the pad and use it, or better, just use a nice MF towel.

I never buff with just the foam pad. After I use the MF bonnet, I fog the surface with my breath and buff lightly by hand with a very soft MF. Not always necessary, but I like to think it adds the finishing touch.

Once the wax is off, I like to quit I do not follow up by hand, seems to me I read somewhere its best to just stop and let the wax cure.
