I just ordered some 7006 pads that say they are for use on the DAP is this correct? I was wanting a little more bite than the 8006 pad with the 83 compound to see what results I could get.
Thanks Mike

Meguiar's does not recommend using the W-7006 Cutting Pad on the G100 Dual Action Polisher as it can dull down the finish, making it very difficult, if not impossible, for the G100 user to remove the dulling, and restore gloss. Most use the GC MF Bonnet over the W-7006 for product removal when using the G100.
The strongest combination Meguiar's suggests is the W-8006 and the #83 DACP for the G100. If after a few attempts with this combo the marring is still evident, a rotary with an experienced user may be required.
Well heres my delima. I can't tell if the swirls are on the surface or under the clear (like sanding before paint). I can not feel them with a fingernail and the paint looks absolutey beautiful and is very reflective in normal light or cloudy skys and I mean perfect. When the sun hits it DIRECTLY you can see the swirls and I'm not sure if I've cut them down or not since I've worked on it so much. I swore I made progress but nothing solid. I'm frustrated and upset at the dealership and I will not take the car back. I was told that they got trash in the paint when they originally shot it and that they shot it again. If thats the case I can't see it being sanding work due to the added paint. They may have even pressed really hard with a buffer to remove the trash ??
Things I've cautiously tried not in order:
Wool pad with 3m coumpound (I didn't try very hard with this as I wanted to see if a light trashing of the pad would cut the original swirls)/rotary
3M foam cutting pad with Perfect 3 polish /rotary
83#/8006/DAP
80#/8006/DAP
82#/8006/DAP
9#/ 3M PAD (works good with this pad)/rotary
The steps I tried that I thought worked are:
3M foam cut with perfect 3
83#/8006/dap
80#/8006/dap
NXT WAX
Looked really good but the swirls are still there. I thought I cut them down, but I'm not sure and I'm scared I might go thru the paint. This should be a shot from the side with a good reflection.
