  • What else do I need with the Buffer?

I'm going to pick the PC Orbital Polisher very soon, and I'd like to know what else I should pick up with it. Such as, do I need extra pads, or anyhting like that?

I already have all my Meguiar's products, just need the orbital polisher and don't wanna forget anything when I purchase it.

Hey I'm waiting to order my polisher too, backing plate is on backorder.
You will need a few pads, one for each product. Meguiar's has a pad kit, WDAV-99B. Maybe a MF bonnet, X-4003 for wax removal Looks like you are neighbor's with Tim!! He's also in B.C. Lot's of good people here.

I suggest at least two bonnets. I found I couldn't buff the entire car with just one.

I've got three W8006 Yellow soft buff foam polishing pads. One I use with the A2116 Deep Crystal polish. One I can use with the NXT Tech wax. And a third in case. I have them marked with a sharpie so I don't mix them up.

I also have a W9006 Tan Softbuff finishing pad I can use with the Gold Class wax or the NXT Tech wax.

I have one W7006 Burgundy softbuff cutting pad and two X4003 Gold Class Clear Coat Safe Microfiber bonnets for removing the wax. I find one bonnet isn't enough.

They are all marked with a sharpie so I don't mix up the pads.

NEVER use the W7006 Burgundy pad without a bonnet on it.

I also have about half a dozen of the microfiber towels for detailer, polish, wax, etc. also all marked with sharpie. Wash them together but with nothing else.

I am going to purchase the PC 7424 at Canadian Tire (Canadian Hardware/Automotive Store), and I wonder if they have these pads there?

Did you guys get your pads and bonnets at the same place you purchased your polisher (if purchased from a store and not online), or will I probablu have to get the pads online?

Might be a good idea to have some absorbent terry towels handy

These are good to remove excess product from the pads. It's also good to do this before you store the pads after use.

Also, have a firm nylon toothbrush or similar size brush handy to help clean the pads. This works exceptionally well after product may have dried on the pad in storage.
See the big picture, enjoy the details

No, Canadian Tire does not carry the Meguiar's foam pads. I suggest going to Lordco who usually has them in stock.

you can get pads from acklands grainger but there not cheap like 34ish each and they come with the backing plate. they dont sell the velcro pads or the DA velcro backing plate!

I like you, bought my PC at canadian tire, but you can order pads and the velcro backing plate from Meguiar's Canada also a tip for ordering from Meguiar's Canada is to order as many items as possible because its ($15) flat rate shipping
