  • Neglected & Damaged Vehicles

First the good news...I now have a PC7336SP. I personally purchased the DA polisher to make life easier (bad back), to save time, for better results, to get my current vehicles in decent shape IF POSSIBLE, and possibly for a new vehicle in the future. The bad news is that I own two vehicles that are in VERY POOR condition due to years of neglect on my part and damge from hurricane Wilma last year. At this time I'm not sure which products (wax, polish, pads, etc.) I'll need, so I would greatly appreciate any help with product selection. Once again, I would also like to say that I realize that my current vehicles are in very poor shape and I would like to only obtain a very nice / clean appearance (family vehicles/daily drivers) that I would be able to maintain without spending my whole weekend doing so (after the initail detail). Last of all, IF POSSIBLE I would like to buy products that will allow me to achieve the results I'm looking for on my current vehicles but also that could be used on a new vehicle. Thanks.

With the PC, the stongest cleaner is #83, and you would use a #8006 pad. You can read this for some information on how far your results can go.

PC + #83 not "Cutting" it! - The Limits of the Dual Action Polisher

Using the G-100 to remove swirls with the Professional Line

#83 will be safe to remove any bad swirling from a new vehicle as well.

After #83, you would use #80 to fine tune your results. Then, follow up with #21 on a #9006 pad.

So here is a more complete breakdown:

    1. Wash - Gold Class, Nxt, or any Pro/Detailer Line wash.

    2. Clay - Quick Clay or Smooth Surface CLay

    3. Clean/Polish - #83 on a #8006 Pad

    4. Clean/Polish - #80 on a different #8006 Pad

    5. Wax - #21 on a #9006 pad.
