  • Benefits of PC?

I like the idea of using the PC but want to know what to expect when I detail my cars with the PC. Right now I pretty much do a complete detail twice a year on two cars by hand. This includes claying, DC1, DC2 and NXT. This process takes me about 5 or 6 hours and I am very happy with the results and my muscles are sore, but not too bad.

I've heard that the PC can take just as long to detail but its much less tiring. In reading the threads I've seen results are much better with it as well.

What are the biggest benefits for getting the PC? Any advice? Thanks in advance.

PS - here's my cars that I detail. My gallery

      Grover,

I too was where you were until September of this year. Let me say this:

      1) Removing Swirls from your paint is time consuming but worth every second. In therory, you wouldn't need to do this but only once or twice a year (depending on your fanatic level) if you wanted to. Actually, I plan on once a year for me and the time of year would be Spring time.

      2) for using cleaners and waxes, the DA beats the time to applying it all by hand, hands down (punn intended). When my finish already has wax (I wax every 1-3 weks because it is so easy) on it, I actually can wax my Explorer in about 45-55 minutes (excluding the roof). And in addition, I used both NXT and GC by hand and when I got the PC, it made a big difference in the shine (IMO). So, I never will do waxing by hand ever again and besides, my body doesn't ache which is a benefit. I recommend this highly and it pays for it's self (by satisfaction) the first time you use it. I hope you get yourself one and post your findings. Good luck on your research for the PC.

Thanks for the information. I've been on the fence about getting one since they are fairly expensive. With the feedback I've received from Mike and BJClarke, I think I'll go ahead and take the plunge. After the holidays I'll report back with my impressions.

Well worth it! You will really see results on your Sebring (darker color).
