How much UV protection does the Quick Interior Detailer contain? I'm wanting something that produces very very little shine but will protect my dashboard and vinyl in my car. Thought about trying #40, but if Interior Detailer has the same protection and less shine I might try it.

    Thanks

    Hi Slats,

Quick Interior Detailer contains a little amount of UV protection, not enough to enable it to be a direct replacement for a normal dressing. Quick Interior Detailer is more for cleaning, than for conditioning and protection. In the same way an exterior quick detailer, like Quik Detailer is for removing light dust, fingerprints and smudges and it's not a replacement for either a normal wax or even a spray-on wax.

Sorry for the late reply on this Slats...

Thanks. No problem for the delay...I figured someone else would have something to say about it.

Well, I received a big Meg's order yesterday and tried out the qid. It didn't seem to show any visible sign that it had been applied, but worked great to remove smudges from the audio controls and took the dust off the dash nicely. I also like that it wipes right off the glass.

Anyway, sounds like a need a true protectant then.....which has the absolute lowest shine? I want something that will make my dash keep that new-car glow, but with little shine.

      Thanks,
      Slats

BTW, tried the Endurance original today and loved it!

The Natural shine, in the consumer line of products is exactly what you are looking for:

Designed for people who want to maintain that rich "like new" look on their dashboards, trim, tires, and hundred of other surfaces. Unlike some protectants that leave an artificial plastic or greasy look, this formula brings back the original natural finish and allows you to control just how much shine you add. With one application, you create a perfect, "like new" shine. with two applications, you can increase the shine and darkness and create a look that goes beyond the standard factory finish. To help create a rich, natural shine this complex formula includes cleaning agents that help remove dirt and grime that dull or discolor your finish. We've also added UV protection to reduce damage from the sun.

Both products are the only things to touch my plastic parts on my interior. Luv it-Luv it-Luv it

QID seems like a product for me. I dont like a shinny interior unless it came that way from the factory. I never use a dressing on my interior vinyl and plastic, I just keep it clean. I think QID may be the perfect interior product.

How often should I use Quick Interior and Natural shine?

I don't know what happened, but in my Neon I put #40 all over then a couple of days later, I wiped the dash down with QID and it is a matte finish. Maybe try that?

Another suggestion if you don't like the "dressed" shine that you can get from Natural Shine, you can cut it down before applying it. I mixed it 50/50 with distilled water, and it successfully changed the "look" but still gave me the protection. That, coupled with every few days being hit with the QID, has maintained the look I like.
