  • The worst dog hair in interior i've seen yet!!

Had a lady contact me and said her son has been riding around with his 2 great dane's in his truck for awhile and wanted to know if I could remove the hair and smell from the interior, Ask her to bring it down and leave for a couple days and would see what I could do.

When her husband, LOL!! pulled it into my garage and I looked inside, I couldn't believe just how bad it was! It was twisted into the carpet fiber, seats, headliner, coming out of the vents. This was going to be a job and time consuming!!

Already took the mats out to pressure wash and scrub.

Took door seal trim off all door opening too get all dog hair from out of or under moldings.

    Under driver side front seat.

What I was working with under rear seats. No other way around it so I removed seats out to get to this area better.

Sorry about the lighting in this pic! Lots of brushing & scrubbing, now the work begins.

Have over 3 hours give or take on this area with all the tools, tricks and techniques I have, it was fused in the carpet fiber's and wasn't releasing or coming out to easy but have it about 95% dog hair free

More hair removal, this was no easy task by any means. I used everything I knowed and techniques along with different procedures and equipment.

After, I'd say I got about 95% of all the dog hair removed and they look much better!

    Before

    After

Starting to put everything back together.

4200 Lumens!! I have 4 High powered LED lights lighting the area up under the passenger front seat to make sure I get everything possible!

Before: Under the passenger front seat.

After: It was tough getting all the dog hair without removing the seat, but didn't want to take any chances that the airbag's might deploy so made do and got the job done.

    Finished and all back together.

This job well over 7 hours and used everything I had and know over the years to get this truck back to this condition. The funny thing is, when they come to pick up, the lady drove it out of here. LOL!!

My process was first wearing safty glasses! Then brushing up all the hair and using my shop vac to get what was releasing from carpet fiber's. Next I used a Puma Stone, Blue rubber dish gloves (works awesome) 2 different extractor brushes, compressed air, can of static release and more shop vac. This wasn't hard work but very time consuming and I love dogs but smelly to say the lease. Thanks for looking!

Nice work.. trust me i feel your pain.... I don't have any pictures... but my car may have been a match for this.. but not NEARLY as much surface area but when i bought it, the first owner had a dog and i don't think they cleaned the rear interior seat for over 3 years....

However, i used it as a bargaining chip and talked them down $1700 off the asking price... I cleaned it for 6 hrs straight to 85% and gave up and then gradually did the rest over time.... man those hairs get embedded into the seats and carpet fibers in the craziest of ways!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Nice job. That's a huge difference. I'm sure the owners were pleased.

Hey Buddy thanks for the complement, I believe the mother bought from son. Dogs not going to be back in this truck. Had back in for my maintenance washing and so far so good.

Very nice work, dog hair can be no fun, especially when the wrong kind of hair is combined with the wrong kind of fabrics. Ive had a couple similar and the worst is when you finish and they need to leave right away (I'm mobile) and the dog jumps back in to go with them before you even leave their house this has actually happened to me a couple times; somewhat demoralizing, but I guess it's just job security.

What kind of dog was it?

It was 2) great Danes, Went a months later and picked up his (the son) Black mercedes to do some correction work too and apply a coating. Seen both of them and man were they huge! Luckily they were to big to get into the mercedes. LOL!!

Hey jarred, do you use any of the rubber gloves that you for doing dishes? I picked up a pair and used them and they was also a life saver for getting in between the seats and consoles, or just for using to take your hand and rubbing hair off of headliners, back of seats, or even to rub over carpet to gather hair in a certain spot to vacuum.

Fantastic clean up - dog hair is such a pain to deal with and a real challenge. That you managed this sort of turnaround is a real testament to your talent on interior cleaning!!
