  • Overconditioned leather

I used one too many leather wipes in my brand new subaru on the factory installed leather,,, it has a serious sheen to it now and it looks slightly greasy,
I was wondering if anyone had advice for me on how to get rid of the sheen, i have only tried water and also a dry cloth, neither worked though.
    please help>

    Re: Overconditioned leather

Isocyanate based ethyl carbamate (urethane) finished leather upholstery is used by 95% as OEM in modern automobiles. Simple cleaning, hydration and protection are the three steps that will prolong the life of finished leather; urethane doesn’t require conditioning or rejuvenation

Take a clean terry cloth towel and soak it in very warm, almost hot, water. Wring it out fully and then wipe over the effected surface. The product you used is water based, and an application or two of very warm water, without soaking the surface, should take care of it.
