  • Blotchy Dashboard

    Hi,
I am trying to keep my black dashboard as matte as possible and have been using megs quick interior detailer. the problem is that it looks a little blotchy. Kind of like its more matte in some spots than others, its not a smooth even tone finish along the entire dash. I know the dash isn't damaged or anything, it just seems to be when i apply product and it dries, it has this effect which looks horrible and unkept. Any ideas or suggestions? Its a standard plastic dash found on Lexus'. thanks

    Re: Blotchy Dashboard

The plastic in the dash isnt always uniform, so could be absorbing things differently, or maybe some oil/grease, etc.

You may want to give a little stronger of a cleaning with something like APC, or try a dressing like the Natural Shine.

You're spraying on and wiping off right? Not just leaving it to dry on the dash?

I don't have problem with QID. Maybe you could try cleaning it under a shade so QID doesn't dry up that quick. You also could try spraying QID onto MF towel to clean instead of spraying onto dashboard. My $0.02.
