  • Small Interior Detail...

Here is my interior detail that I did tonight on my L, it took a little over an hour to complete... It needed a good after winter cleaning inside. The outside I am hoping to have done this weekend.

    Here is what I did:
    1. Vacuum carpet.
    2. Dusted the dash, doors and trim with California dash duster.
    3. Wipe dash, doors and trim with NXT Tech Protectant on an applicator pad, remove excess with cotton towel.
    4. Wipe inside of windows with NXT Glass Cleaner and a cotton towel. This stuff is unbeatable!
    5. Clean carpet and floor mats with Heavy Duty Carpet & Interior Cleaner and a All-Surface Interior Brush.
    6. I used my Hoover steam vac to remove with excess carpet cleaner and the hope of doing more of a deep cleaning.
    7. Apply a little PlastX to the gauge cluster.
    8. Orange Blast my rubber snow/mud mats.

With my light interior its hard to get any before shots to show anything.

Here is a before of the drivers side:

Here is a after of the drivers side:

    Here is a after:

Here is what I used, if you look at the applicators and towels you will notice it really was dirty!

I used Heavy Duty Carpet & Interior Cleaner for the first time this week. I used it per the instructions on the bottle and it worked very well, pulling the dirt out on to the clean towel. I was surprised at how well it did work using that method.

I decided to use my steam vac in an attempt to pull more dirt out of the carpet. This method to worked very well and left me with some real dirty water.

    Now on to the exterior.

That machine works pretty good. I used one last season. It does leave the carpet and seats a bit damp. This past fall I purchased an Aztec mini spotter (extractor). Well worth the investment for a part time business.

          Scrub

Where did you get the aztec mini spotter? and how much did it cost.

I am also looking for a good interior carpet/upholstery cleaner as I do part time detailing.

            hey,

did you forget to clean your pedals?

i notice a lot of people forget pedals - I know you shouldn't apply dressing for safety reasons - at least take off the dirt!

I ordered direct from Aztec. Cost was $595 plus $16 for shipping.

That's alot for the Aztec. The Little Green is about $70.00.

                      Yep.

I emailed bissell to get the water lift of the LGM and got "we don't rate the water lift" for a reply. The Aztec has 102" water lift (provided you don't use the 16 ft hose that comes with the detailer version) which I'm sure exceeds the LGM.

I started last season with the LGM. The cleaner that comes with the LGM is awesome for stain and spot removal. For the money and if a part timer the LGM is a good investment.

I went with the Aztec to step up my interior work to another level. Carpets and seats dry in a fraction of the time after using the Aztec. That's what I was looking for.

Its all on what you want to invest in and the image trying to be projected. To me it's a selling point for my services that I use professional equipment to detail a client's vehicle. That's the image and results I was going for.

In addition to all the above information, my wife gave me the apron pass to buy it too.
