Picked up from brand new take-off seat skins from a '12 Mustang GT to install on my base model and I was just curious if anybody knows the best approach for cleaning and conditioning? I have to assume these are the lower-end coated leather but will the meg's leather products still be the best choice or should I look more towards a vinyl or vinyl/leather product? I used to use Mothers 2-step cleaner/conditioner on some towncar leather seats I had but it was SUPER slippery which I would like ot avoid here while still maximizing the longevity of the upholstery.

Re: New Ford leather
Some people dont worry about coated leather. But I like to at least use something like the Gold CLass Leather Cleaner/Conditioner spray once in a while.
And then you could do a 2-step product, or something like APC for stronger cleaning.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: New Ford leather
If they're new and in good shape then a regular, light application of Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner is a good choice. Always spray onto an applicator or folded microfiber towel and then apply to the surface rather than spraying directly onto the surface. If they're dirty and need a good cleaning first, then our new Gold Class Leather/Vinyl Cleaner is an excellent choice, followed by the dedicated Gold Class Leather Conditioner. Remember, a little goes a long way, so don't over use them!! Neither of these will give you a high gloss or slippery surface if used properly (ie, sparingly).Michael Stoops
