  • Help! Gold Class Leather Conditioner Problem

I just conditioned the black leather seats on my 2006 Jaguar with the Gold Class Leather Conditioner. Now, the seats are riddled with grey streaks where scratches were/are -- ones that were there before but were still black and ones that I never saw before. Will they eventually recede? Were they simply dirty before, so they blended with the black seats, but now they are showing? The car had been conditioned before at the carwash, never any problems. Should I use more product, buff more?
    THANK YOU!

Does it look as if any product is dried in the scratches/cracks?

No. It wiped away pretty clean. It just "revealed" all the old cracks!
Thanks for your quick reply...I'm freaking out. I can't afford to redye (after this, I'm really hesitant to do it myself!). The car is my baby -- irked that by doing what I thought was good, things have come out worse!

Which Gold Class Conditioner did you use? There are several variations, cream, gel or sprays are available. You could try more of the product in a small test spot to see if it helps. Work it in good and then buff off the excess. I prefer the gel type as it dries clear and cleans & conditions nicely.

It does happen that cleaning reveals things...

A pic or two might be best if possible.

Many thanks for any help! The seat bottom looked like the seat back before I used the conditioner...
