  • What Extractor Do You Use & How Do You Like It?

Ok so heres the deal guys...I think my next investment will be a good extractor. Ive been using the Brissell "Little Green"...and considering we paid $12 for it at goodwill...its been a dream for us, but the issue we've had is CLOTH SEATS.

The reason they've been an issue extraction is because the motor isn't powerful enough to really PULL out the water unless the seat is really soaked...and if we do really soak it...even after it pulls out the dirty water..the seat is still pretty damp and I HATE giving a customer their car back in that condition, which is why we've BEEN steam cleaning them lately with our McCulloch which does a rather good job...little extra elbow grease but...its the end result that matters to us.

So, that being said, I've done lots of reading on here and AG about other extractors and even steamer/extractors in one...I mainly want an extractor that is POWERFUL enough to pull water from cloth seats...Ive seen YouTube vids of people using the Rug Doctor and it looked to do a good job w/the upholstery attachment, but I still wanted to ask my peeps here on MOL their experiences

So what I'd like to know is,

    WHAT one you have

How long you've had it and how often you use it (and do you use it on just carpets/mats or do you use it on seats also)

How much you like it and WHY, and do you have any others you've used that you could compared it to

Is it JUST an extractor or an extractor/steamer in one

And of course...how much was it (and any other info you may want to include)

Appreciate the feedback everyone...this should make for a good thread I think

I am interested as well. I have a Bissel Little Green Machine (newer one, but no steam attatchment). Works well but like said does not get everything out. Definitly needs to spend time to let dry.

To be honest with you. I dry as much as I can with the BGM and towels. Then I shut the windows, run full blast heat for 20-30 minutes and the majority is dry.

Just bought the Mytee HP100 Grand Prix II and I like it a lot so far. Only used it a dozen times so far, used it on my dads cloth seats in his 03 ram and the were almost instantly dry along with his carpet. Nicely built, easy to use, high capacity, continuous fill and good accesories.

If you don't mind my adding and bumpind here. I use the Little Green Machine as well and I ALWAYS have issues with the sprayer hose clogging. So with the better machines, what problems, minor or major, have you experienced with it?

I´ve been testing the machine found in the link below, and i decided to get one.
Only thing I miss, is a smaller mouthpiece. Don´t know if that´s available.

It´s a bit pricey though, costs about $700 here.

If you want the King of the King portys, Mytee has a M5 machine and a M12. These are more of their industrial machines.

They both use 2 inch hose. At the end of 50 feet of 2 inch hose, they will have twice as much **** as your new shop vac at 5 feet. They have 2 vac motors piped in seperate also to give you more ****.

The pumps are industrial PumpTec pieces so they will go for a long long time. The M5 is a 500-600 psi unit, the M12 is a 1200 PSI unit. I can also use them with like a water cannon on the end of them to prespray with too. You do need 2 seperate 15 amp electric services though.

I use a portable galaxy edic extractor comes with a 1200 watt heater. This little guy is great the vac motor on this this is massive. Picks up alot of water leaves carpets almost dry just put a blower and carpet drys in 20 minutes tops. Love this little this. I think one of the best extractors out there.
