The driver side door armrest recently developed a tear in the vinyl from my elbow rubbing over the years. Is there any way to repair this and if not, what materials could I use to cover the rip that would not leave a residue on the door? Thanks in advance.

I was thinking going to your local salvage yard and see if they have one in your make, model, and color.quality creates its own demand -

If you look around on the net you can find DIY mending kits. If you're looking for a flawless look I would call/take it to an upholstery shop see what they say. They might be able to mend the tear and airbrush to match. If the arm rest is removable they may be able to recover it. If so I would compare the cost to buying one from the dealer or find one in a junk yard.Originally posted by slip View PostComment
