The seats are from my 1993 Honda Civic which was "retired" this past Tuesday after 17 years of ownership and 300k on the odometer. Retired means my trusty Civic failed CA Smog for the first time ever and was eligible to be junked in return for a cash payout from the state.
The cool thing is that the state only requires the car to arrive under it's own power to the salvage yard to qualify for the payout. The day before, I surrendered the tags and title to the DMV and received a one day, next day pass to drive my Civic to the dismantler. I spent the rest of the afternoon stripping the car of parts I could eBay or Craigslist for sale. Glovebox, wiper arms, interior trim, seatbelts, etc. I found a pair of trashed front seats (rips and tears) on CL that I bought for $10 and installed on my car so I could harvest the whole set of original seats.
Just looking for some recommendations for cleaning front and rear seats to prep them for sale. I plan to use APC+ mixed 10:1 and administered via my Bissell LGM. All that's really required is a light cleaning, no stains or odors. I just want to freshen up the fabric and give it a nice odor. Does the APC and ratio mix sound about right? I guess I could follow up the cleaning with Febreeze...
