  • GC Cleaner/Conditioner or UP?

My seats on my Vue are a leather like vinyl with cloth inserts. For the longest time I have been using GC Cleaner/Conditioner on them. It makes them shine a bit but I don't notice any extra "softness" to them. I now have ultimate protectant in my arsenal. Would that be a better choice to protect the seats?

Ultimate Protectant is not for use on Leather.

I'm sorry. I think I may have worded my question in a confusing manner. I have vinyl seats that are textured to look like leather. Which product would be better suited to the material?

UP would be better for vinyl, but not sure I would want to sit on it and rub off on the clothes?

I really hadn't considered that but you're right. Maybe I'll just stick with the GC. I guess it's better than nothing. I would like to get some Katzkin seat covers in the future though. Not that the vinyl is bad, but I just like the feel of leather better.

I remember when I worked for Ford the "leather" interiors were real on the seating surfaces but a nogahide(sp) like material on the sides and back. Now, when you look at a lot of vehicles you don't even get any leather many times. It will say something like "leatherette."

I think you are on the right track. Stick with the Gold Class.
