  • Steam Question

I got my steamer this friday form another MOL member! Went to try it out today on my grandpas car. Overall I had good results on his leather seats, however I think I hovered too long on a couple spots... it looks like it shrunk the leather and it feels cardboard-ish now. I put some leatherique on it so hopefully that will help. I toned down how much time I spent on the other seats and that seemed to do the truck, the leather came out nice and soft after that first attempt. Do you think that because the seats were perforated, the heat/steam tolerance is lower before it shrinks up? Any suggestions for the future? Thanks!

I didn't scrub for too long, and I'm sure I could get better results. But for a few minutes of work, they're not bad.

These are the spots I was talking about:

    Thanks!

Looks as though you may have compromised the coating on the surface, either shrinking it or breaking it down (looks more like the former though). How did the Leatherique do?
