Years ago, I learned from an old-school Rolls Royce restoration expert what he uses to spiff-up an interior- would you believe Murphy's Oil Soap and water? Using a small bucket, a cheap paint brush, a scrub brush and a micro-fibre rag, wash everything w/ the soap- seats, dash, door panels, console, leather, vinyl, wood, plastic, carpet, rubber matts, EVERYTHING inside the car, dry and detail it w/ a cotton t-shirt as you go along. Its so simple its crazy, and it WORKS! New cars, antique cars, expensive cars, cheap cars, filthy cars, immaculate cars, etc. It leaves just the right look, it cleans, smells fresh, doesn't overdue things, and its FAST!

I use to use Murphy soap in the spray bottle for vinyl , plastic and leather, but never on carpets or fabric. On carpets and fabric I used ammonia and water. One cup of ammonia to one gallon of water. -
