  • Red Stains on Beige Lexus Carpet

This weekend we detailed a Lexus RX 400H that had some nasty stains in the back. To my knowledge, it was a mix of spaghetti sauce and polish sausage that was once in a ziploc bag. I tried my absolute best to get it clean but my results were not spectacular. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

    My process:
    -Vacuum Loose Particles
    -Spray with APC+/Quik Out
-Agitate with brushes. Even used ADS' DA carpet brush
    -Use LGM to extract
-If still wet hit it with the shop vac to get all the water out

That didn't do me any good. So I repeated about 5 times, then used Tuff Stuff, Armoralls carpet cleaner, even some diluted oxy clean and scrubbed.

This is all I was able to get to:

    Any advice? Thanks!

mannnnnnn, those are some tough stains ... i say this as my one two punch is APC+ plus the same brush for the DA and im 10for10 (or better) right now.
I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread to see what other suggestions folks have for spaghetti stains.

Not all stains will come out. From the looks of it, I'd say this is probably one of those stains. Might be best just to dye the affected area or let it go.

my opinion try to removed the carpet so u can extract it easily, then apply apc, that should do it.

If it were a major reconditioning, I would consider it. But on a 4 year old car and a $115 job, no way! I get what your point is though, itd be a lot easier to spray out of the car.

Thanks for all the responses guys

that would annoy the hell out of me until it is all out.....

1higher concentration of APC and let soak into carpet more be4 scrubbing
            2steam cleaning
3hot water with carpet cleaning solution with the LGM
4rip it out and soak in detergent overnight
            5buy new carpet
