  • Blotchey interior...its wierd.

So when i did that 2008 Silverado a while back i noticed the interior was wierd. It was all black (thats normal) but the door panels are textured. So when i used armoral and wiped the surface it came out blotchey. Does Nick kno what im talkin bout? How to fix this?

P.S please go down to the break room and look @ my car alarm thread

Probably because you were using harm-it-all

      Well.. besides product choice...

Panels arent awlays uniform, and may absorb differently. If you give it a good cleaning, then dress, let sit, then wipe off excess after a few minutes, you should get it the best you can.

Sometimes for me it means there was still some type of residue left behind. Giving them a second, more thorough cleaning took care of this for me.

Some materials do not absorb product well... the manufacturing process doesn't lead to a uniformly porous surface, and in turn some areas soak in more or less product.

I use Quik Interior Detailer on the stuff that looks like it might accept product well.

so you let the interior dressing sit then wipe down...my car looks like it is weeping out detail goop all the time!

Like you would apply the dressing, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then come back with a clean dry cloth to wipe off excess.
