  • How to remove car wax from carpet?

    Hi all!

Ages ago my boyfriend was waxing his car and he accidently got some of the liquid wax on the carpet of his car. Any tips on removing it? Apparently he tried to steam clean it, but it didn't work.

    Thanks!

I've used steam for a lot of things and this things every time I use it amazes me.

Here, you should get this not only to solve the problem but for any future accidents

You might try using an iron to heat it back to liquid and then using a shop vac to get it out of the fibers. Not sure if that works with automotive wax, but we have used that to get candle wax off the carpet at home.

I think it would, There's been members who have gotten paste wax where it wasn't a nice consistency, like it was broken up and chunk and they heated it up until it turned into a liquid and then they let it solidify to a nice even tin of wax.
