  • Type of dirt matters.

Here is proof that its not how much dirt that matters, it's what kind of dirt. Regular mud cleans up pretty easy. Here are some pics from a truck we cleaned after he went "mud bogging" with the windows open.
    Enjoy!

I'm guessing he was an inexperienced off roader.

Did you have to take anything apart to clean?

That's fantastic!! What was your process for clearing out all that mud, especially from the cloth upholstery?

Of course, with all that mud inside, it begs the question - was he driving with his eyes and mouth closed, or were they packed with mud too??

LOL Mike! As taught in carpet and upholstery cleaning classes, up to 75% of all soil can be removed with vacuuming. Same applies here, we made sure it was well dried first, then took the shop vac and crevace tool to it for quite some time.

After that was Wet Cleaning with upholstery tool, and I wont lie, I got the seat pretty wet with quite a few passes but then vacced well, as a carpet and upholstery cleaner, we have pretty powerful equipment for that. Then, wipedown vinyl with a soap-free cleaner, then we used Meguiars Vinyl cleaner for the finish. Voila! This truck was done (interior) in 2 hours.

The owner of the truck had a problem where he had to run the heater to keep the engine under control so it was manditory to keep the windows open while mud bogging lol.

          That's a Bronco isn't it? Makes sense

Mmmmm, hot engine, heater, and mud.. They must have felt like roasting mud pies in there.

Son, I bet you $20 there ain't no way that's coming out!

Whatever, Dad. I'll take that bet.

I love those old Rangers. My brother had an '89 with an interior just like that.
