  • Interior Vinyl Fading

    Hey Guys,
My interior vinyl is fading and has a lot of oxidation because of the sun. I am wondering is there any method to bring back to original finish? Or do I have to re-dye it?

    thanks

In my experience, not much you could do to bring it back to new. You can improve it by a good cleaning with M39 or APC and treat it with your favorite interior dressing....I personally like M40, it treats it as well as treat rubber.

Although not Meguiar's, Black Wow is a good product from what I read to bring back interiors....Have to check to see if you can use it on vinyl, can't see why not though.....

    And.... to MOL!

thank you for the prompt response. So the only other option is to have it re-dyed?

Well, hard to say without at least pics.. I would certainly try cleaning and using something like the Supreme or Natural Shine first, just to see.

I second what Nappers wrote. Once the vinyl is faded you cannot easily restore it back to its original looks. But regular use of i.e. Natural Shine will surely make it look better.
