  • Carpet Clean Question

Hey guys, I am wondering how I should approach cleaning the carpet of my truck right now. My shop vac is broken and I don't have an extractor, I have APC+ and Quik out.

Should I just use APC+ and agitate it, then use a damp towel to get the APC+ out?

Either one of the products you've listed will work great! Since you dont have a vac or extractor I would get a bucket of clean water and either product with a good terry cloth towel.

Spray the cleaner onto the carpet and really scrub it in with a brush or a terry cloth towel. Than to remove use a clean terry cloth soaked with the clean water to soak up the soap. Basic process is rinse with clean water, than ring out, rinse, ring out, and so on.

05 Neon interior That detail used around the same process. It would be better to finish off running over everything with a wet/dry vac but you can always leave it to dry in the sun with doors open or windows down

I usually liberally spray Quik Out on the carpet, agitate with a brush, leave for a few minutes, scrub with the brush again and then wipe off with clean dry terry or microfiber towel. I do not use towels soaked with water. Once the carpet is dry, I brush it with an rubber brush to get rid of any dry residue and make it look uniform. This method works pretty good for me.

Absolutely, but you would be amazed how well even a small amount of Quik Out works!

            Quik Out is great stuff.

Although I used a Shop Vac to extract, I did spray with QO, scrub, rinse, extract with towel, rinse (heavy rinse) and soak what I could before extracting. A hot day would make it dry quickly.

Ok, I'm so getting a bottle of Quik Out when I get a chance. I've used Turtle Wax Power Out and it was OK but that was around April 2009 BM (Before Meguiar's ).
