  • Megs Qwik Interior Detailer Question.

    Hey guys,

Just wondering if it's safe to spray Megs Qwik Interior Detailer directly onto my Navi screen and then wipe it off? Will this cause streak? Is this stuff totally safe to use on Navi screens?

    Thanks!

I wouldn't. You run the risk of some of it dripping down and getting in on your interior electronic components. Spray it on your microfiber or whatever, then wipe. And yes, it's perfectly safe to use on Navi screens.

You will be fine, Like the others stated I wouldnt do it directly on, try spraying on an applicator pad or your microfiber towel to help spread more evenly. But QID is a great product for everything on the interior! Definitely a must have in your arsenal!

Personally, when it comes to touch screens, LCDs and the like, I still tend to be uber cautious and simply slightly mist an MF cloth with a touch of distilled water to make it slightly damp and then use that. However, I must say that I am impressed with QID and for something like a GPS touchscreen, I'd consider using it to deal with fingerprints and smudges but making sure the cloth is damp, not wet if distilled water alone wasn't cutting it. You don't want anything wicking under the frame of the screen and getting into the electronics though distilled water is pretty safe as it leaves nothing behind after it evaporates.

I just use the QID Wipes...but did utilize the QID with a microfiber before. Both are excellent products for all interior surfaces.

Do you guys wipe the navi screen with Megs Qwik Interior Detailer and then let it evaporate on it's own, or do you follow it up with a dry Microfiber towel?

Follow up softly, with a dry cloth.

Honestly, try to avoid all screens/dash covers till needed. They do swirl easy.
