  • water spots on windows

    Hi,

I am working on a 98 dakota that has every possible defect i can think of.

One of them is water marks, like water spots on the window that i can not take off.

i have tried regular window cleaner (windex, that's the only one i have), also tried claybar and lastly I tried scratch X but the marks are still there.

Any thoughts on what could i do with the windows?

What type of applicator are you using?

Try a terry cloth towel. It has more bite then the foam applicator.

If no luck using the terry cloth towel. Then try #4 heavy cut cleaner. It is in the professional line. Use this with a terry cloth towel. It has never let me down.

      Yup....check out this solution:

After finihsing up a 6 hour detail on a coworker's Land Rover HSE and a quick wipedown of the interior of my friend's rental car (they gave it to her filthy), I was plenty tired and the sun was setting on another hard day of detailing. As I glanced at my Vette in the driveway I was forced to face something that has been

When you solve this issue please reply with what you did.

I've a bathroom shower with a glass sliding door that could use some help too.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think on using the DA on the windows but i will give it a shot.

The DA and all the products are already stored an i am not going to take them out again...

Will give it a try next weekend and will let you know.

            Thanks

I've heard that chrome polish works good as well at removing hard water spots. You might try that and/or white vinegar diluted 1:1 before you bust out the heavy artillery, LOL!
