  • Natural Shine Issue?

I applied Natural Shine Protectant to my dash Saturday before I had to head out of town for the week on business. Car has been sitting outside in the Hotel Parking Lot all week instead of garaged like usual, and Today when I headed out for dinner i noticed that the small 'crevices' in the dash(kinda like what your palm looks like if you know what i'm talking about) had seemed to turn white and look dried out. I was thinking maybe another coat of Natural Shine or a wipe down with Quik Int. Detailer.

I don't have any camera with me so I can't take pictures and I didn't bring any products with me so nothing i can do right now unless i go find a parts store and buy some more.

This is the first time i've used Natural Shine so maybe i did something wrong? I sprayed a MF towel with it, wiped the dash with it, let it sit for a few minutes then wiped the dash with a dry MF towel.

sounds like you applied and removed the product correctly. Try using Quik Interior Detailer with a microfiber and see how that goes.

Is it a newer car? Or something eles on the dash you don't know about? Maybe try cleaning it.

is it possible that its overspray of Natural Shine itself. did you ever spray Natural Shine directly on the surface or did you always spray it on the microfiber first?

It is most likely Natural Shine that you did not remove and allowed to dry.

Make sure you spray it onto the towel and then apply it to the surface

car is a 98 so it's 11 years old. dunno the previous owners regiment so maybe the dash is dry'd out and absorbed the protectant and needs another treatment?

I did wipe the entire Int. down with APC at 10:1 prior to applying the Natural Shine.

Maybe, not shure what the white stuff is. I would reaply for a few weeks and see if it changes back to normal.

I've used Natural Shine a long time and never experienced this.

Maybe the dash needs a good thorough cleaning (not that you did mind you) again and reapply. I usually apply thick, let it soak, then wipe and I notice streaks the next day and reapply again and do a final wipe down. I do use QID to knock down the dust bunnies. We live in a rural area and my dashboards are always dusty!.

It may have some residual dressing from previous owner.....

Never head of white residue forming after using any of our dressings?

If you have Quick Interior Detailer then maybe when you get home try cleaning the surface with this product and a terry cloth towel and see how it looks after cleaning and wait a few days and see what happens.

Then, if it looks okay try using the Natural Shine again, after applying and working in and over the surface remove any excess with a microfiber.
