  • Coated leather and vinyl protectant.. ok?

Have been reading through threads here and elsewhere about coated (plastic/vinyl) leather and how it has been in use for some years now.

Common advice seems to be to use a vinyl/plastic protectant on it, am I reading correctly?

As a part of their career, our Chemists are completely aware of the materials used to make cars including coated leather and ALL of our leather care products are formulated to work on any kind of smooth leather surface.

You can use our leather products on both leather and vinyl surfaces but we don't recommend our vinyl products for use on leather.

Maybe check into our Gold Class Rich Leather Spray

Spray and dampen one side of a clean, microfiber polishing cloth folded 4-ways and then use this side of the cloth to wipe, clean and treat leather surfaces.

Spray more product to the microfiber as you work around your vehicle's interior and after you've treated your car or truck's interior re-wipe all the surfaces using a clean, dry microfiber polishing cloth to remove any excess residue.

Yes, coated seats in a Dodge Dakota. I didn't know how to check for coated or not until shortly ago on here

Sounds great to me, thank you for the mini-lesson on it, I'll try to grab some tonight when I'm out.

Mike, in speaking of cleaning up residue, should I take the dry sides of the mf and buff it off lightly or leave it dwell and clean off any obviously wet areas when I'm done?
