  • Cracking Leather Seats

I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Evo IX, SSL package. The seats are leather recaros. They seem like they were pretty hard leather from the factory, but now it is starting to crack on the driver's side bolsters. The car only has 22k miles, so I don't think this should be happening to the leather yet.

My quesiton is, what product do I get to rejuvenate the leather and stop the cracking. I've been using this spray leather cleaner/conditioner, but it leaves the leather very slick and seems to wear off the following day. I've heard Leatherique is a good one to use, the oil first and then the cleaner. Do you guys have any other recommendations?

    Any help is appreciated.

Hey Meg's has several Leather Products.

You could try the 2 step Cleaner and Conditioner.

You could also try the Gold Class Wipes, Foam, or Spray.

I use APC to clean the leather then condition with The GC Foam.

Just try which you like... I just ordered the Detailer Line Leather Conditioner to try it out

The 2-step Conditioner should be the most moisturizing of all the Meguiars products.

i like to pre-clean my leather with Meguiars Leather Cleaner and then condition it with Meguiars Rich Leather Spray or Meguiars Rich Leather Wipes. I then maintain the leather with Quik Interior Detailer and i usually dont have to reapply the conditioner for about a month.

To avoid a greasy feel try wiping the leather with a microfiber after applying the conditioner.

          i hope this helps!
