  • tried something new today with the interior.

I used a 4:1 mix of water and caustic degreaser (simple green, 409, etc.) a detailing brush, and compressed air.

Note: If you don't water it down, then you risk drying out the plastic.

It worked quite well to get all the grit and grime out of cracks and crevices. But what I really wanted it for was the carpet.
    1. Vacuumed
    2. Sprayed the carpet with water first and let it dwell
    3. Then I gave it a generous coating of my mix, and scrubbed it with a stiff bristle brush.
    4. Then I sucked it away with the shop-vac.

This took all stains, and dirt out of the carpet. I was quite impressed...
It’s cheap, easy, and works. Sure it might not be as good as an extractor, but hey, it cost me nothing
