I used a 4:1 mix of water and caustic degreaser (simple green, 409, etc.) a detailing brush, and compressed air.
Note: If you don't water it down, then you risk drying out the plastic.
It worked quite well to get all the grit and grime out of cracks and crevices. But what I really wanted it for was the carpet.
1. Vacuumed
2. Sprayed the carpet with water first and let it dwell
3. Then I gave it a generous coating of my mix, and scrubbed it with a stiff bristle brush.
4. Then I sucked it away with the shop-vac.
This took all stains, and dirt out of the carpet. I was quite impressed...
