  • Leather Cleaner/Conditioner - White Film

This morning I purchased Meguairs Gold Class Leather Cleaner / Conditioner. I have a 07' GMC Yukon Denali with black leather. The leather is in great condition so I thought I'd clean and condition it to keep it looking great.

Unfortunately, after following the instructions, the cleaner/conditioner left my leather with a white film all over the leather. I tried using a wet terry cloth to wipe it down. While it is a bit better, there is still white marks all over.

    Any ideas?

You might try re-applying a very small amount, and then go with a dry towel to buff up the excess.

Just try a small area first.

From your description, It may be you used to much product and had a hard time removing it. Do as Murr suggested. Then before it dries try removing it.

Was this the spray, the lotion, the wipes or the foam?

I used the lotion. In retrospect, I'm wondering if I should have used the spray or foam????

Similar situation and just want to revisit this.
Was using Meguiars Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner lotion on my black leather back seats.
Don't what I was thinking but I used great globs of the stuff. Thought I got it all but the next day there were big white patches all over where it soaked in/dried up.
Tried Woolite Leather cleaner...that didn't work. Then I bought Lexol leather cleaner...that didn 't work.
I'm beginning to think that the only thing might be to rub it with an oil to emulsify and lift the dried up stuff out.
Or should I also try the previous suggestion of using more of the lotion and make sure I get it all?
            Help!

Just do a small test spot... put a little lotion on the cloth, rub it in, and try wiping it off with a dry cloth.... may or may not work, but worth a try.

At worst, it should just wear off.
