Is #40 good to use on all interior parts like plastic pieces and door panels? And what about clear plastic soft top windows, can I use #40 on them or is there something else I can use?

Re: #40 for all interior parts?
I use #40 for all the interior. The rubber vinyl and plastic. I have not had any experiance with convertable windows. I would not give advice on that. But by all means use it on all the applicable interior surfaces. Great product. Enjoy it.quality creates its own demand

Re: #40 for all interior parts?
rdv350, you can use the #40 Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner on any plastic, vinyl, or rubber surface on the interior. However, you don't want to use the #40 on clear plastic. For a mist & wipe on clear plastic surfaces I would employ #18 Clear Plastic Detailer. (Alternatively, #17 Clear Plastic Cleaner for fine hairline scratches, and/or #10 Clear Plastic Polish to improve the optical clarity to clear plastic). I hope that helps.Rick McDonough

Yes, or Plast-X (which combines #17 and #10)...Rick McDonough

For plastic windows you want one of our plastic polishes.
Meguiar's Clear Plastic Products
For some rubber and plastic components or surfaces Trim Detailer would be a great choice...
Gold Class Trim Detailer
So you might consider adding a few more products to your arsenal for the variety of components you're trying to maintain on your car.
What are you working on?

Re: #40 for all interior parts?
Thanks for the help guys, I will have to give #40 a try.
I usually do most of my detailing on my truck which is an '01 Ford f350. But I also have a '67 bronco which has a vinyl soft top. So I wanted to get #40 to clean and protect the vinyl soft top but also wanted to make sure I can use it my f350's interior.
Mike, do you recommend something else for a vinyl soft top since it will be exposed to the elements?

Re: #40 for all interior parts?
#40 is the best interior spray there is, no doubt in my mind!... Lasts well, too.
Since I love it, i´ve used it everywhere, and once in a while (on certain plastics) i´ve encountered some spreading issues. However nothing APC or even a damp MF will handle.

Re: #40 for all interior parts?
I put #40 on anything vinyl or plastic for the interior. I also coat the rubber door seals to keep them protected, as you don't want those drying or cracking over time; actually, dressing the rubber is one of my favorite "trademark" detail items because of how new it makes the car look as the owner is climbing in for the first time.
In case it wasn't obvious, #40 is not meant for leather.
As for clear plastic, PlastX is my goto product for exterior lenses and sometime plastic mirrors, but for the stereo I seem to prefer #10 and #17. I just used them yesterday. I got amazing clarity with a little #17 on a microfiber over my fingertip. It's a little tricky to get the tiny strips of plastic, but if you use a small enough amount and have a tiny application surface, the "nit-picky-ness" is worth it!"Do the job right, or don't do it!" - Dad
