Sometimes it's better to keep a job simple... use some type of applicator pad or cloth and apply, work in, and then remove any excess by hand.

I love using Microfibers with leather products, the fibers wick away the dirt, oils and grime that builds up on leather an leaves a nice uniform finish.Afshin
