  • Interior dusting/Navigation screen cleaning

    Hello all,

I've been using Megs Qwik Interior Detailer for awhile now, and I absolutely love that stuff! It works great on my dashboard, center console, etc. Anyway's, today I decided to spray some onto a microfiber towel and wipe down my leather. It seemed to turn out pretty good. Anyway's, does anyone else do this? Is Qwik detailer safe to wipe down the leather/vinyl on my 07 TSX?

Also, what do you all use to clean navigation screens with? I tried the Megs Qwik Interior Detailer, but I've found that to streak. So, what I do is take 2 microfiber towels (one wet and one dry), and I wipe it down with the wet mb, then immediately wipe it water off with the dry mb. So far it seems to work great, however, I've been noticing dark lines when the sun hits the Navi screen, or if I take a flash light to the screen. They're in random places. I'm not sure if my method is scratching it, but I don't know of any other way to scratch it. Also, what does a scratched Navi Screen look like? If someone could post a pic, that would be great.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

On my DVD that I have in my car I as well use Quik Interior Detailer and it cleans it up really well, no problem what so ever, just don't let it dry

Yes. We mist the QID onto a clean, soft microfiber polishing cloth and then wipe down the dash using this dampened microfiber.

        Hey Mike,

Thanks so much for recommending the Clear Plastic Detailer. I'm definitely going to order some of that stuff. I've been wondering what the best method for cleaning my Navi screen was, and I think I've found it Thanks again!

Lastly, can this stuff be used as often as needed on the navi screen? I tend to accumulate a lot of dust on it.

Yes, it's non-abrasive, just make sure your microfibers a clean and dry and don't work on a hot surface.

We also keep this by all the CD and DVD players in the house to remove fingerprints and smudges before inserting them to be played. Also great for eye glasses. Quite hand actually.
